The OHY Teacher Empowerment Program is a unique and dynamic 200 Hour Teacher Training Program created to empower YOU to be a powerful, dynamic, out-of-the-box, fully-expressed yoga teacher. You will learn to share the power of yoga with others with authenticity, clarity, and purpose. This Program requires commitment, and you will be supported, challenged, and elevated in new and surprising ways. Out Here Yoga is a Registered School with the Yoga Alliance, and you will graduate the BIG Teacher Empowerment Program as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 Hour Level, and be ready to teach yoga to anybody, anywhere.

**Please carefully review the dates and hours of the training below. Our first and our last weekends together will be FULL weekends - please plan ahead!**
TUESDAY NIGHTS:
6 - 9pm
We will meet every Tuesday for the duration of the program starting on September 26th.
WEEKEND DATES:
Weekend One: September 22nd - 24th (FULL Weekend)
Weekend Two: September 29th - October 1st
Weekend Three: October 13th - 15th
Weekend Four: October 20th - 22nd
Weekend Five: November 3rd - 5th
Weekend Six: November 10th - 12th (FULL Weekend - Graduation!)
WEEKEND 1 (September 22nd - 24th):
Friday: 830am - 6pm
Saturday: 830am - 630pm
Sunday: 830am - 6pm
WEEKENDS 2 - 5:
Fridays: 6pm - 9pm
Saturdays: 830am - 630pm
Sundays: 830am - 6pm
WEEKEND 6 (November 10th - 12th):
Friday: 830am - 6pm

Sunday: 830am - 6pm
100% commitment to the program is required. Any absences must be pre-communicated prior to the start of the training and in order to complete the required hours of the program you may only miss and make up one weekend.
INVESTMENT: $3,800
Early Bird $3,600 (if paid in full by July 1st)
$500 non-refundable deposit due upon acceptance into the program.

*30 days prior to teacher training: full refund less $500 non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit
*14-29 days prior to teacher training: 50% refund less $500 non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit
*Less than 14 days prior to training: No refund. If paid in full, a credit in the amount of your tuition, not including the $500 non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit, will be applied to your account to be used exclusively for a future teacher training program with BIG Power Yoga
APPLICATION
If you are interested in applying for the BIG Teacher Empowerment Program, please fill out the application TEP Application - Fall 2023. There is a $25 application fee (not included in TEP Investment) that will need to be paid at the completion of the application. Once the application and the application fee have been received, you will hear from us within 1 week on next steps.

FAQs
-Who is facilitating this program?
Laura Rust is the full-time facilitator for this program, with many part-time facilitators leading modules throughout the program.
-I will miss one weekend or a Tuesday night. Can I still participate?
Yes! We record our sessions for learning purposes, and if you miss a session you will need to listen to the recording and make up any work you missed. Please keep in mind that all absences must be pre-communicated prior to the start of the training and in order to complete the required hours of the program you may only miss and make up one full weekend.
-Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes! Reach out to us to create a plan for payment that works for all parties.
-What should I bring to sessions?
At least one change of yoga clothing, whatever you need for your practice (mat, towel, etc), your manual (which you will be given weekend 1), any books that are requested for session, any snacks or meals you might need, and a willing and ready attitude!
-Will we have any meal breaks during our long weekend days together?
Yes. On Saturday and Sunday we will break for at least one hour during lunch and you may have assignments to complete over your lunch break. On Tuesday, Friday and Sunday evenings, we won’t have an official dinner break, and you will have the opportunity to eat in session.
- Do we practice yoga for 8 hours a day?
No. We will practice at least once each time we meet, including on Tuesday evenings.
-How many participants will this program have?
This program sells out at 20 participants.
-What extra work is required outside of our sessions?
You will practice teach with your buddy/small group for one hour per week. You will also need to factor in time for reading the books, your personal yoga practice, and any homework you are assigned outside of session. Depending on how you work, plan for an extra 3-5 hours a week outside of session.
-I’m not sure that I want to teach yoga, can I still do the training?
Yes! People participate in this training for a number of reasons, including deepening their own yoga practice, focusing on their own leadership development, becoming a yoga teacher, and much more! Whatever your reason for doing it is good with us! This is a yoga teacher training, except that it is so. much. MORE!

The OHY Scholarship Fund removes the financial barrier that could prevent someone from being part of our yoga community and also allows us to uplift and support each other, whether by contributing to or being a beneficiary of the fund.

We would love to hear from you if you believe the OHY Scholarship Fund would support you. We will grant as many yoga scholarships as we possibly can in the form of yoga memberships and drop-ins. For each donation the Fund receives from a community member, Out Here Yoga will match that donation by providing double its value in yoga services.
