40 Days Embody

Join us for 40 Days Embody, created by Whitney Bakarich!  Whitney is a longtime OHY community member, 40 Day veteran (she's done almost all of them!) and licensed therapist.  We've partnered with Whitney to offer you a 40 Days steeped in actionable tools and based in neuroscience to help get to know and regulate your nervous system.  In addition to practicing yoga, meditating and having time to devote to self-inquiry, together we'll explore our brain and body responses and how we can best take care of ourselves on and off our mats.

 

Program Intention

40 Days Embody blends yoga and neuroscience to cultivate a profound sense of belonging. You'll learn to harmonize with your system, accessing regulation in any moment. Through diverse mind-body practices, you'll gain tools to remain centered both on and off the mat, staying true to yourself and focused on what matters most. Unlock clear thinking, deepen your relationships, and integrate your body's innate wisdom to regulate, restore, and create your most embodied life.

 

Requirements

  • Practice 4x per week with OHY, in studio or online

  • Attend 1 group meeting per week

  • Meditate 4x per week for 10 mins or more

 

Meeting Schedule

  • Mondays 6-7pm at OHY

  • Tuesday 12-1pm on Zoom

  • Friday 10-11am at OHY

FAQ'S

Q: WHAT IF I DON’T FULFILL ON THE REQUIREMENTS ONE WEEK?

We know that a little accountability can go a long way! That’s why we keep track of two of the program requirements weekly:

1. Your completion of 4 yoga classes per week with us, in-studio or virtually

2. Your attendance at 1 Group Meeting per week

(The meditation requirement is not tracked, and we trust you to fulfill this in a way that works for you.)

*Exceptions for the requirements can be made for illness, travel circumstances, etc. The way to still meet the requirements and move on in the program will be to reach out to us right away with any support you need, or letting us know of a creative way you fulfilled the requirements.

If you do not meet the requirements of a given week, you will receive an email letting you know you will not be moving on with us in the program. That being said, we believe in the power of a second chance and will be happy to give you 1 opportunity to start fresh the next week and keep going in the program!

 

Q: WHEN ARE THE WEEKLY MEETINGS?

Mondays 6-7PM (in studio)

✨ Tuesdays 12-1PM (on Zoom)

Fridays 10-11AM (in studio)

You are required to attend 1 group meeting per week.  If you’re attending in person, we kindly ask you to sign up ahead of time so we can easily take attendance. While we recommend attending a meeting live if you can, we understand travel and life comes up and might not make that possible.  We will record the Tuesday zoom meetings for those weeks you can’t make a meeting live and you can watch it on your own time to fulfill on the requirement.  Be sure to email us after you watch the recording so we give you credit.

 

Q: I CAN’T MAKE IT TO A MEETING ONE WEEK, CAN I WATCH A RECORDING?

Yes, we record the Tuesday zoom meeting each week and will have it uploaded by Wedsnesday so you can watch it on your own time. We ask that you email hello@outhereyoga.com after you complete watching the meeting to let us know you fulfilled on that requirement.

     

    Q: I’M TRAVELING DURING 40 DAYS, CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?

    Yes, you can absolutely travel and still do the program! Everyone has access to our livestream classes and group meetings during 40 Days so you can take us with you. Need help figuring out how to get your weekly classes in with travel plans? Email or stop by the front desk, and we can help!
